General Questions
What is Neupril?
L-Methylfolate is the active form of folate (vitamin B9) used by the brain and body to support energy, mood, focus, and neurotransmitter production. Unlike folic acid, which needs to be converted before it works, L-Methylfolate is already in its usable form, making it ideal for those with the common MTHFR gene mutation.
Neupril delivers a methylfolate supplement in a clean, liquid formula with no gluten, dairy, or synthetic fillers. Just targeted support for your mental clarity, mood, and daily balance.
How and when do I take Neupril?
Customers take Neupril as part of their morning routine, mixed into a drink, or right under the tongue before starting their day. Dosage varies between our adult and kids formulas, so just follow the serving size listed on the bottle. However you choose to take Neupril, you're giving your brain clean, bioavailable support when and how it works best for you.
What are the benefits of Methylfolate?
Methylfolate is the active form of folate (vitamin B9) that your body uses to produce key neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which are essential for mood, motivation, and focus. Because it bypasses the MTHFR conversion step, it’s more effective for supporting mental clarity, emotional balance, and healthy energy levels.
Many people use methylfolate to support symptoms related to brain fog, fatigue, stress, and overall brain health, and often look deeper into methylfolate benefits. It also plays a vital role in DNA repair, methylation, and nervous system function. Whether you’re managing a diagnosed condition or just want to feel clearer, focused, and emotionally stable, methylfolate offers powerful, research-backed support.
How do I know if I need methylfolate?
Many people choose methylfolate if they want a form of folate their body can use directly, especially if they’re looking for support with healthy methylation or overall wellness. It’s also commonly used during times when folate needs increase, like pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you’re unsure what form of folate is best for you, a healthcare professional can help guide you.
What is the difference between Neupril Adults and Kids?
Our Neupril Kids formula features the same clean, bioavailable ingredients L-Methylfolate and Methyl B12, but in age-appropriate doses for kids ages 1 to 18, with smaller serving sizes starting at just 2 droplets or 0.1mL. Our Adult formula delivers a higher daily dose, with 15 mg of L-Methylfolate and 1,000 mcg of B12 in just 10 droplets or 0.5mL per day.
Both versions are liquid, easy to take, and made with organic berry flavor, free from gluten, dairy, soy, preservatives, and artificial additives. Simple, clean support for the whole family.
Are B12 and methylfolate the same thing?
Methylfolate and vitamin B12 aren’t the same thing. Methylfolate is the active form of folate (B9), while the active form of B12 is methylcobalamin. They work together in processes like methylation and homocysteine regulation, but they’re different nutrients with different roles and sources.
How quickly does methylfolate work?
Everyone’s body is different, but many customers begin to notice improvements in focus, mood, and energy within the first 1–3 weeks of daily use, which is something often mentioned in Neupril reviews. For deeper support, especially with neurotransmitter balance, consistent use over 6–8 weeks often delivers the most noticeable results. Staying consistent and taking Neupril around the same time each day helps maximize its benefits.
What does Neupril taste like?
At Neupril, our drops have a refreshing organic berry flavor that’s light, smooth, and easy to take. Whether under the tongue or mixed into a drink, most people find it pleasantly subtle. Not too sweet, not too strong. Just clean, natural berry goodness you’ll actually enjoy taking every day.
Should I take methylfolate in the morning or at night?
You can take methylfolate at any time, but most people prefer taking it in the morning since it can feel more natural to pair it with daytime routines. There’s no strict rule, so the best time is whatever fits your schedule and feels right for you.

Ingredients
What are the ingredients in Neupril?
Neupril is made with L-Methylfolate and Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12), two bioavailable, methylated nutrients that support mood, focus, energy, and healthy brain function.
We keep our formula clean and simple with just a few additional ingredients: organic berry flavor, purified water, glycerin, citric acid, and potassium sorbate for freshness.
There are no artificial additives, gluten, dairy, soy, or unnecessary fillers, just targeted support that your body can actually use.
How do you source your ingredients?
We have high standards for the ingredients in Neupril. Many of the ingredients are organic and sourced globally to ensure efficacy. Made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. Quality Ingredients. Quality Results.
Is Neupril free from major allergens?
Neupril is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, non-GMO, and contain no synthetic sweeteners, no synthetic dyes, or gelatin and most of our ingredients are organic.
Do I need to continue taking a multivitamin?
Neupril is a targeted formula focused on delivering active forms of folate (vitamin B9) and B12, which support brain function, energy, and mood. It’s not a full-spectrum multivitamin, so if you’re looking to cover a broader range of nutrients, like vitamin D, magnesium, or zinc, you may still want to take a multivitamin alongside it. That said, Neupril fills a critical gap that most multivitamins don’t: bioavailable methylated B9, which many people can’t absorb through regular supplements.
Both versions are liquid, easy to take, and made with organic berry flavor, free from gluten, dairy, soy, preservatives, and artificial additives. Simple, clean support for the whole family.
What is Prop 65?
California's Prop 65 requires companies to disclose even trace amounts of certain naturally occurring substances, including lead. The trace amounts in our products occur naturally in raw materials used during manufacturing and not from added ingredients.
At Neupril, we take safety and quality seriously. Every batch is rigorously tested to ensure purity and quality across label claims, heavy metals, and microbial contaminants. Our products are manufactured in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility in the USA.
Is Neupril third-party tested?
Yes. Every batch of Neupril is third-party tested to ensure it meets our standards for purity, potency, and safety. We test for contaminants like heavy metals, harmful microbes, and ingredient accuracy, so you can feel confident about what you’re putting into your body. We’re committed to transparency and quality from the first drop to the last.
Is it okay to take folic acid and methylfolate together?
It’s generally not recommended. Taking both at the same time can lead to too much folate in your system. Most people only need one form, and methylfolate is already the active version your body can use. If you take a multivitamin with methylfolate, it’s best to limit extra folic acid from other supplements or fortified foods. Always check with a healthcare provider first, especially during pregnancy.
Is methylfolate the same as folic acid?
Methylfolate is the natural, active form of folate, while folic acid is the synthetic form. The key difference is absorption. Methylfolate is already in the form your body can use, so it’s well absorbed and not affected by genetic or metabolic issues that can make folic acid harder to convert.
What is the best form of methylfolate?
Many people look for L-methylfolate in its calcium salt form. This form is already active and ready for the body to use, which is why it's commonly preferred over synthetic folic acid. Neupril uses this bioavailable calcium salt form.
Is Neupril Safe for kids and adults?
Yes! Neupril is designed with both kids and adults in mind. We offer separate formulas with age-appropriate dosing to ensure safe and effective support for each age group. As always, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider if you have specific health conditions or concerns before starting any new supplement.
Why is B12 included?
Methylfolate and B12 work together in the methylation cycle. One can't do its job properly without the other. When you take methylfolate, your body needs B12 to complete the process of converting homocysteine into methionine, which supports everything from energy production to mood regulation and cognitive function.
Without adequate B12, something called the "methyl trap" can occur. This is when methylfolate gets stuck and can't be recycled for your body to use again. The result is a functional folate deficiency, even if your folate levels appear normal on paper. You may not experience the benefits you're looking for because the methylfolate has nowhere to go.
That's why we paired them together in one formula.
Why methylcobalamin instead of regular B12?
Not all B12 is created equal. Most supplements use cyanocobalamin, a synthetic form your body has to convert before it can use. Neupril uses methylcobalamin, the active, methyl form of B12 that's ready for your body to use immediately.
This matters especially for people with MTHFR variants or methylation issues, who may have difficulty converting synthetic vitamins into their active forms. By using methylcobalamin alongside L-methylfolate calcium, Neupril gives your body both nutrients in the forms it can actually use.
Product
Can I take methylfolate every day?
Yes, taking Neupril daily is the best way to experience the full benefits. Consistency is key when it comes to supporting focus, mood, and mental clarity, and our formulas are designed for everyday use.
Serving sizes vary between our adult and kids formulas, so just follow the instructions on the bottle. You can take the full dose at once or split it up throughout the day, whatever fits your routine. Just be sure to take the full daily amount for the best results.
Does Neupril need to be refrigerated?
Neupril does not require refrigeration. Just keep the bottle stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. When you’re ready for your daily dose, simply shake well, measure with the dropper, and enjoy!
Is Neupril tested for heavy metals?
Every batch of Neupril is tested for heavy metals. We are compliant with national standards and California's rigid Prop 65 requirements that protect against unsafe levels of heavy metals and contaminants.
What measures do you take to ensure the quality of Neupril?
Neupril is manufactured in GMP-certified and FDA-registered facilities in the United States. Every batch is third-party tested to ensure purity, potency, and safety. Free from heavy metals, harmful microbes, and contaminants.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards so you can feel confident in what you’re putting into your body.
Both versions are liquid, easy to take, and made with organic berry flavor, free from gluten, dairy, soy, preservatives, and artificial additives. Simple, clean support for the whole family.
Can I take Neupril with my prescription medications?
We always recommend chatting with a healthcare professional about specific health concerns.
Is Neupril safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
If you’re pregnant, nursing, or taking prescription medications, check with your doctor or healthcare provider first.
Does body weight affect how many drops I should take?
Not necessarily. Dosage isn’t determined by weight. It’s determined by your body’s methylation needs. Everyone processes folate differently depending on factors like genetics (such as MTHFR variants), stress levels, diet, and overall methylation efficiency. A heavier person doesn’t automatically need more drops. The recommended drop dose is designed to support optimal methylation for everyone. If needed, adjustments should be made based on how you feel or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
What is MTHFR?
MTHFR is a gene that helps your body process folate, a key vitamin for brain function, mood, and energy. But many people have a variation in this gene, commonly called an MTHFR mutation, which makes it harder to convert folic acid into the active form your body needs: L-Methylfolate.
This can lead to lower levels of key neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, affecting everything from focus and emotional balance to motivation and mental clarity. Neupril delivers folate in its already active form, so your body can use it right away, whether or not you have the mutation.
Can I take methylfolate even if I don’t have the MTHFR mutation?
Yes, you can. While Neupril is especially helpful for those with the MTHFR gene mutation, anyone can benefit from L-Methylfolate. It’s the active form of folate that your body can use right away. Even if you don’t have the mutation, Neupril can still support mood, focus, energy, and healthy methylation. It’s a clean, effective way to give your brain and body the nutrients they need to function at their best.
Is the serving size drops or full droppers?
The serving size is measured in drops, not full droppers. So if the label says 10 drops, that means 10 individual drops.
For accuracy, our dosing is measured in milliliters (ml), but we include the drop count on the label to make measuring easier.
